St Helens hooker Keiron Cunningham will be out of action for a month in the build-up to his club’s Carnegie Challenge Cup semi final against Huddersfield Giants. But the veteran former Great Britain No 9, who has set his sights on an eighth winner’s medal in what could be his farewell season, is determined to recover from knee surgery ahead of the semi final at Warrington on August 9. Cunningham, 32, faces a minor operation this week after injuring his knee against Celtic Crusaders last weekend.
