LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 2, 2009) − The University of Kentucky Human Development Institute has presented the annual Paul Kevin Burberry Award to Bev Harp, a graduate student in the UK College of Social Work. Harp was recognized for her achievements on behalf of developmentally challenged individuals, her advocacy and her commitment to the field of disabilities, said Harold Kleinert, executive director of the institute. Harp is a research assistant in the institute's Postsecondary Inclusion Partnership project. She helped design its Web site. In addition, Harp has made presentations at state and national meetings on the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
