Renegades Drop Fifth in a Row After 2:42 Rain Delay

July 2, 2009 - New York-Penn League (NYPL) Hudson Valley Renegades FISHKILL, N.Y. (July 1, 2009) - After a two hour forty-two minute rain delay the Renegades fell to the Vermont Lake Monster ,8-2, with the final out recorded at 12:54 Thursday morning. The rain delay did not affect Renegades catcher Mayo Acosta or left field Brett Nommensen as both combined to knock five of the Renegades eight hits on the night. Acosta went 3-for-4 with one run scored and Nommensen went 2-for-4. Renegades starter, Kyle Lobstein (0-2, 3.65) recorded his second loss of the season as he hurled four innings of four-hit, one-run baseball. The Lake Monsters etched the first run of the game in the visiting half of the fifth.
