The Dwyran branch closed last summer after the postmistress was forced to step down after an operation to remove a brain tumour. Post Office Ltd says it is committed to reopening the branch but has failed to secure a new service since the closure last September. Now the community is coming together in a last ditch bid to bring back its local branch. At a meeting on Tuesday night two residents offered to put forward £1,000 each to kick-start a fighting fund.
