Woldt • Gannett Wisconsin Media • June 30, 2009 OSHKOSH — When Johnny Depp and the "Public Enemies" gang left town after filming last spring, it may have been the last prominent feature to take advantage of the state's film incentives program. "Public Enemies" reaped the benefits of the film program, receiving $4.6 million in tax credits as a result of the $5 million it brought to the state. Seven other feature films and 16 television programs also took advantage of the incentive program in 2008, said Scott Robbe, executive director for Film Wisconsin, which promotes filming in the state. However, Gov. Jim Doyle signed a state budget Monday that decreased the state's film tax incentives program to $500,000 per year.
