Whew, winding down in Montreal, except to crank out some stories for the paper....A quick summary. Note the trend to Mass. and Ontario natives and not one, but two goalies...Impossible to grade at this point though, right? No. 19: Chris Kreider, C, Boxford, Mass.--The lightning-quick 6-2, 205-pound Phillips Andover student---headed to Boston College---was the top high school prospect in the draft, totaling 33 goals and 23 assists in 26 games last season. No. 47: Ethan Werek. C. Markham, Ont.-- In 66 games in Kingston (OHL), the 6-1 forward was 32-32-64. Calls his style comparable to that of Corey Perry. No. 80: Ryan Bourque, C, son of former Bruin defenseman, Ray. Small but energetic, he played in middle school with Kreider in Boxford.
