They were the heart of the lineup, and they led the team. Designated hitter-designated leader Blake Dean has been all that for the last three seasons, and in particular this year as the Tigers stand two wins away from their first national championship since 2000. No. 1-ranked LSU (54-16) plays No. 1 seed Texas (49-14-1) at 6 p.m. Monday on ESPN to start the best-of-three national championship series at the College World Series in Rosenblatt Stadium.
