Thyrie Bland • tbland@pnj.com • August 21, 2008 A teenager was arrested Wednesday and charged with an open count of murder in a May 2 homicide at a West Pensacola fast-food restaurant. Tywann Octavious Carter, 16, of Pensacola is accused in the shooting death of Jarvis Horne, 17, said Escambia County Sheriff's Office spokesman Glenn Austin. Horne, of Pensacola, was killed outside the McDonald's in the 1100 block of North Navy Boulevard. Joshua Diggins of Pensacola — who also was shot — survived. The Sheriff's Office said Horne and Diggins were approached by a large group of young men and gunfire erupted. Carter's grandmother, Evelyn Riley, said she never lost hope that an arrest would be made in her grandson's death.
