Glavine has a tendon tear and will undergo surgery. JC Bradbury thinks we should trade Chipper, Kelly Johnson, and Casey Kotchman. And, of course, we get the pleasure of facing the Mets again tonight. I’d like to put on a Brave face (oops, sorry, a pun) so that Mets fans couldn’t take pleasure in my despondence, but I’m not sure I have one in me today. Tonight is Jair Jurrjens against Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey, in his last 7 starts: 4-2, 44 1/3 IP, 24 K, 5 BB, 5 HR, 3.86 ERA. Jurrjens, last 7 starts: 3-4, 46 1/3 IP, 37 K, 13 BB, 0 HR, 3.30 ERA. They’re sorta evenly matched, other than the homers. Of course, we don’t have too much in the way of home run hitters.
