The following recalls have been announced: _ About 53,000 electrical wire splices, made in the U.S. by Molex, because the splice can fail to hold wires together properly, posing a shock and fire hazard. Gardner Bender has received one report of a splice failing to hold wires together. No injuries have been reported. The recalled product, which also is known as a butt slice connector, is used to connect electrical wires to one another. The product was sold in packages of eight or 50 at electrical distributors, hardware stores and home centers nationwide from June 2005 through April this year.
