Winning jockey Ioritz Mendizabal raised his arm in triumph after 13-1 shot Spirit One turned back 6-5 favorite Archipenko by three-quarters of a length in the Grade I race. The Spanish-born jockey made a quick exit for the airport shortly after Spirit One finished the 1 ¼-mile race in 2 minutes, 2 seconds.
