Truck Plummets Into Bay

By KATHERINE AMENTA (ANNAPOLIS, MD -- WMDT) 8/10/2008 It was a fatal morning after a three vehicle crash sent this Mountaire truck plunging into the Bay. The truck's driver was killed, and 2 people from a passenger vehicle were also injured. Drivers faced major delays all day, as crews inspected the bridge and tried to remove the truck from the water. "From my understanding, the water is not that deep in that area and the trailer is actually sitting on the bottom and the roof of the trailer is visible," said Corporal Jonathan Green of the Maryland Authority Transportation Police.
