and its U.K. partners, Ethnet Limited and SiraCom, today said that they have come together to ring in the ancient Welsh tradition of “Eisteddfod” in Cardiff, Wales this year, with a communications infrastructure. This infrastructure offers what they call an “easy-to-deploy” alternative to the “cumbersome” task of laying down cables throughout the vast space required for the weeklong outdoor festival. Held during the first full week of August, the National Eisteddfod of Wales is one of the world’s oldest festivals dating back to the year 1176. This year, attendance is expected to reach around 160,000 visitors, according to the companies.
