Tampa Bay (63-44) vs. Detroit (54-52), Friday, 7:10 p.m. ET TORONTO -- The Rays return to Tropicana Field on Friday night to meet the Tigers for the first time this season after completing a seven-game road trip to Kansas City and Toronto. And for the Rays, even though they had a winning road trip, there's no place like home. The Rays' 40 home wins lead the Major Leagues and leave them one shy of the team record for home wins (41 in 2004 and 2006). Since April 22, the Rays are 36-9 at home, and have won 13 of their last 14 home series. Everything just looks better for the Rays at Tropicana Field, including the pitching. Rays pitchers have posted a 2.93 ERA at home this season. If they finish that way it would rank as the second-lowest home mark by an American League team since the 1990 A's (2.56 ERA).
