SAARC-related deliberations among top officials from the member states commenced at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) yesterday (July 27) with a meeting of officials of relevant foreign ministries. The officials are reported to have given priority to four issues- food security, energy crisis, terrorism, and climate change. A foreign ministry official said that the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) commenced its meeting, with Sri Lanka taking the chair from India.
