Town Feeling Trickle-Down Effect of ThyssenKrupp (CREOLA, Ala.) Aug. 1 - One local town will be feeling the trickle-down effect of progress along Highway 43 in north Mobile County. Today the town of Creola broke ground on a new sewer service system in the area. Birmingham-based Integra Water will renovate a water treatment plant in Creola to provide sewer service. ThyssenKrupp Steel is building a plant in nearby Mount Vernon which is expected to bring 29,000 jobs during construction and 2,700 permanent jobs. The sewer system in Creola is a major economic step for the area. "Its made a dream that Commissioner Sam Jones had several years ago," Creola mayor, Don Nelson, said.
