STC reviewing bus security in wake of Manitoba attack

The Saskatchewan Transportation Company and other bus companies say they're reviewing their security procedures following the gruesome slaying Wednesday of a man on a Greyhound bus. Vince Weiguang Li, 40, is accused of stabbing to death and beheading Tim McLean of Manitoba on a bus near Portage La Prairie Wednesday night. In the wake of the horrifying incident, which has drawn comment from across Canada and around the world, some people have suggested bus companies should beef up security, perhaps by screening passengers for weapons. Tracy Cook, one of dozens of passengers getting off a Greyhound bus in Regina Thursday, said she was feeling shaken after hearing of the incident and would feel safer if people were checked before they boarded.
