Striker thinks over move to Wales Cardiff are closing in on the signing of Wolves striker Jay Bothroyd. Bothroyd held talks with Cardiff over the weekend after the Bluebirds agreed a fee with their Championship rivals for the striker. Wolves are willing to let Bothroyd leave as he does not figure in Mick McCarthy's long-term plans. Cardiff are desperate to bring in a new striker after being frustrated in their attempts to bolster their attack this summer. Bluebirds boss Dave Jones is a big fan of former Arsenal youngster Bothroyd and he believes he could be a valuable addition to the squad if they can sign the 26-year-old. "I think Jay would be a great acquisition for us and we're still on the look-out for more," said Jones.
