In an accompanying statement to the 28-page report, Joseph Califano Jr., CASA's chairman and president, said CASA has discovered after five years of searching the Internet for sites advertising or selling prescription drugs that, while the number of such sites has declined since last year, perhaps due to the efforts of federal agencies, the widespread availability continues. "This year CASA identified a total of 365 sites, including 206 advertising sites and 159 sites offering these drugs for sale," Califano said.
