BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILWAY BYPASSING ARMENIA A1+ 24 July, 2008 Today in the City of Kars the Presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia announced the start of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction. In the map of the South Caucasus each of the three presidents fitted one small railway track showing the way that bypassing Armenia in the north will link Georgia and Azerbaijan to the eastern part of Turkey.
