Triangle Town Center mall evacuated

Posted: Today at 8:47 p.m. Updated: 8 minutes ago Raleigh, N.C. — The Triangle Town Center mall was evacuated Saturday night after an altercation involving more than 100 people. Jennifer Jones, the mall’s marketing director, said police told her the incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Jones was unaware of any injuries or arrests in the incident. One witness said the incident was a fight involving “lots of teenagers.”The person said it lasted about 20 minutes and started on the upper level of the mall before spilling outside the mall. The mall was scheduled to close at 9 p.m., but shoppers were asked to leave around 8 p.m. following the incident. The Raleigh Police Department has not released additional information.
