3. Report: 4 past and present British Airways executives face price-fixing charges

LONDON (AP) - Four current and former British Airways executives will be charged with price-fixing, the Financial Times reported Saturday. The newspaper said Britain's Office of Fair Trading was pursuing a cartel case against four men over a conspiracy between BA and Virgin Atlantic to coordinate the fuel surcharges they were levying on long-haul flights. The paper, without citing a source for its report, said the precise charges would be made public within weeks. The Office of Fair Trading did not immediately return a call seeking comment late Saturday. BA spokeswoman Laura Goodes said the company "wouldn't comment as it's an ongoing investigation.'' The FT said lawyers for three of the men concerned also declined comment. The Office of Fair Trading already has fined British Airways PLC 121.5 million pounds (US$240 million)...
