BEIJING, July 26 (UPI) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao said Saturday that successfully presenting the 2008 Olympic Games should be a "top priority" for the host country. Speaking at a Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee group study in Beijing, Hu called for more meticulous efforts to help make next month's Summer Olympics a success, China's state-run news agency Xinhua reported. "Hosting a successful Olympics and a Paralympics are now top priority of the country," Hu said. The general secretary of the party's Central Committee said if China is able to host a successful Olympic Games, it would promote better international relations. "We would like to promote the understanding and friendship between China and the world via our successful hosting of the Olympics and Paralympics," the president said....
