Reid says little about Andrews' absence

By GEOFF MOSHER • The News Journal • July 26, 2008 BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Eagles placed guard Shawn Andrews on the reserve/did not report list Friday, but coach Andy Reid had few answers when asked why the offensive lineman didn't report to camp. "I don't have any update for you," Reid said following the first full-squad practice at Lehigh University. "Again, I mentioned that he was not excused, and that's as far as I'm going with it." Speculation has run rampant about the reason behind Andrews' holdout. One source told The News Journal on Friday that Reid's contact-heavy camp was keeping the oft-injured Andrews away. But Andrews' agent, Rich Moran, told another newspaper that Andrews had other reasons behind his absence.
