A sharp drop in oil prices the past 10 days is starting to show up at the local fuel pump. Madisonians found regular unleaded for $3.89 a gallon at many stations in the area Wednesday morning, down almost 20 cents a gallon from the record average high of $4.08 set only a week ago. The average price for regular unleaded in Madison Wednesday is $3.956 a gallon, according to the daily fuel gauge report from AAA, but more than a dozen stations were showing the $3.89-a-gallon price on madisongasprices.com. Oil dropped below $127 a barrel Tuesday, down $20 a barrel from the record $147 a barrel on July 11. Gas is coming down all across the state.
