A 15-year-old boy working in a crew paving a parking lot was killed Friday when he was buried by a mound of searing-hot asphalt, fire officials said. The boy apparently was too young to be working on a construction job in Manitoba, which sets the minimum age for such work at 16. Police and labor officials said they were investigating the accident but declined to comment. Fire Chief Wallace Drysdale said the victim was helping pave a parking lot in this suburb just north of Winnipeg. "I believe (the truck) dumped off way too much asphalt unexpectedly," Drysdale said. "It was extremely hot asphalt.
