SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - General Electric said Friday it will reorganize and simplify its corporate structure to align its businesses for "growth and efficiency." Effective immediately, the Fairfield, Conn.-based diversified conglomerate will move to four business segments from six, including two infrastructure segments. The new segments are GE Technology Infrastructure, led by Vice Chairman John Rice, which includes healthcare, aviation, transportation and enterprise solutions; GE Energy Infrastructure, led by newly appointed Vice Chairman John Krenicki, which includes energy, oil & gas and water; GE capital, led by Vice Chairman Mike Neal, which includes all financial service businesses; and NBC Universal, led by Jeff Zucker.
