Bruyneel's Take: Gotta Go Like Hell BRUYNEEL'S TAKE: Marcus Berghardt charged hard to win stage 18, but the real race for yellow hashes out in stage 20's Time Trial. The last road stages of the Tour de France are a bit like a cyclocross race; if you want to win you better go like hell from the gun. After stage 19, there will be no more opportunities for a breakaway, so every rider with the strength in his legs to match his ambition is going to give it everything. Marcus Burghardt was clearly that rider today. Burghardt gave an excellent example of the "no attack is too early" philosophy. The Team Columbia domestique was in the first serious move of the day.
