Several backup batteries can extend your daily iPhone 3G use

In all fairness, it does get as good or better battery life as most comparable 3G phones, but it might not be enough for heavy users. Apple has offered some ways to extend the life of the battery, but the advice basically boils down to "turn off all the good features," like 3G, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. That can make the device nearly useless for many, so if you need more battery life, several rechargeable battery packs can give you an extra boost. The most common type of battery recharges via USB and plugs in via the dock connector, so these are compatible with most any iPod.
