Rockville, MD, USA July 25, 2008 -- NASA announced a major initiative to consolidate Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure management around 5 new contract vehicles to be released for public comment in a few months. NASA officials provided details about the new strategic sourcing initiative titled Information Technology Infrastructure Improvement Program (I3P) at an Industry briefing in Washington DC on July 23rd 2008. The 5 new contracts to be awarded in 2009 are grouped by specific areas of performance around Network Consolidation, Uniform Desktop Services, Data Center Consolidation, Web Presence Centralization and Enterprise Application Services.
