Ongole decked up for ‘Srinivasa kalyanam’

ONGOLE: A replica of golden temple of Lord Venkateswara was created in police parade grounds here where Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) would conduct ‘Sri Srinivasa kalyanam’ at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The utsav idols will be brought here from Tirupati and TTD priests perform the ‘kalyanam’ on the same lines as they do in Tirumala temple. Arrangements apace Arrangements are being made for flower decoration to make the idol look exactly as in the Tirumala temple. Magunta Subbarami Reddy Memorial Charitable Trust is making arrangements for one lakh people to witness the event being performed for the first time here by the TTD.
