Studios pay this guy enormous sums of money to stay in constant touch with his inner idiot, while mere mortals struggle day-in and day-out to keep our secret buffoon in check. Co-writing with director Adam McKay (“Talladega Nights”) and co-star John C. Reilly, Ferrell, after suffering a minor setback this year with the semi-dud “Semi-Pro,” has come up with an anemic knockoff of “Dumb and Dumber.” Meet Brennan Huff (Ferrell) and Dale Doback (Reilly).
