Establish more places to recycle

To The Editor: I’m writing about the necessity for more recycling centers in Henderson County. I used to go to the county dump, but on my last trip there I noticed all the broken glass and decided to stop going. Not to mention that it is quite a “trip” for me and many others. With the price of gas I carefully plan my trips to the store, etc. I am a native of Hendersonville but for many years I lived in Perquimans County. There were fenced in recycling centers located throughout the county, which made it very easy to turn in plastic, glass etc. I know Henderson County isn’t a poor place, as indicated by all of the Main Street renovations and the plethora of brand new police vehicles.
