Select Committee gets down to business

The parliamentary select committee tasked with strengthening democracy held its inaugural meeting this morning and decided to set up a webpage where people can follow what would have been discussed. The meeting was presided by the Speaker, Louis Galea. The Deputy Prime Minister, Tonio Borg, led the government delegation, while MLP deputy leader Anglu Farrugia led the opposition. The two sides are equally represented. Documents considered by the committee will be displayed on the parliamentary website www.parliament.gov.mt and suggestions can be made by e-mail to selectcommittee@gov.mt or by mail addressed to the Speaker, Select Committee, House of Representatives, Valletta.
