But in the eyes of manager Tony La Russa, the numbers, in this case, are misleading. The Cardinals relief corps has 22 losses -- nearly half of the club's defeats this season. As evidenced in the Cardinals' first two games against the Brewers, though, the record isn't the whole story. "When the bullpen has been given a legitimate and as fair as possible situation to give us a chance to win the game, I think they have come through a high percentage of the time," La Russa said.
