Aust MPs to help monitor Cambodian election (ABC)

Four Australian politicians will go to Cambodia to monitor its election later this month. Foreign Minister Stephen Smith has announced the four federal MPs will be part of an international observer group overseeing the way the election is conducted. Mr Smith says he confirmed to his Cambodian counterpart this morning that Australia will accept the invitation to send a delegation. Cambodia is currently in the midst of a military stand-off with Thailand over an ancient temple on their border.
