Sierra Leone: Olympic Day Run for Sunday

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone (NOCSLE) will host its annual Olympic Day run in Freetown on Sunday. The day event is to be held by three categories of athletes who will start their races from different locations but end at the National Stadium. The modern day athletes to be flagged by the Mayor of Freetown, Herbert George Williams will start from East End Police. For the middle aged athletes, they will start their run in front of the Bank of Sierra Leone. It would be flagged by the bank governor. Veteran athletes, who will be flagged by Jestina Jones, will start theirs at St. John junction.
