Prague - It seems like general strike is taking on popularity in the country as a form of protest. Prague's branch of Siemens is yet another company where its employees have threatened with a strike. Siemens announced about their intention to sell the company Wednesday. They are planning to sell it in September 2009, in the meantime they will start looking for a buyer. There are about 1,000 employees. Siemens´ Trade Unions demand to keep the production at the same level under the new owner. Siemens is planning to deploy about 150 senior workers in branches around the country. "That would totally decrease the value of the company.
