An amusing black comedy – with a fatal flaw

JASON ANDERSON From Friday's Globe and Mail Just Buried Directed and written by Chaz Thorne Starring Jay Baruchel, Rose Byrne, Graham Greene Classification: 14A Rating: If audiences have learned anything from movies and TV shows such as The Loved One, Kissed and Six Feet Under, it's that funeral homes aren't nearly as tranquil as they might appear. The dignified establishment in this first feature by Halifax filmmaker Chaz Thorne proves to be similarly troubled. When not providing the usual services, like embalming dead bodies and playing serene music on the chapel's organ, its employees make sure they've got a steady stream of new clients by bumping off unlucky locals.
