NSW Parliamentary Secretary Noreen Hay must be stood down while investigations are made into fresh claims of her involvement in the Wollongong Council corruption scandal, Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell says. In a sworn statement, former Labor Wollongong City councillor Frank Gigliotti says Ms Hay, the MP for Wollongong, summoned him to a meeting with local developer Frank Vellar. Mr Gigliotti says Ms Hay pressured him to overturn a council decision on a significant beachside redevelopment, adding that he believes Ms Hay was acting on behalf of Mr Vellar.
