Fresh start agrees with Parrish

Hardly seems possible, but it was eight years ago today that John Parrish made his major league debut with the Orioles in Camden Yards. Facing the two-time defending world champion Yankees, the McCaskey product fanned Chuck Knoblauch, Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams to start the game, and finished with nine strikeouts in seven innings. "Eight years," laughed Parrish, now pitching for Toronto. "It was a little while ago." The former Oriole was back in Camden Yards for a four-game set, and he met with a visitor at his locker prior to Wednesday night's rain-splattered game against Baltimore. On a somewhat ironic note, Wednesday was also "Turn Back the Clock Night" at Oriole Park, with players, coaches and front office personnel from the O's 1983 World Series champions honored in a pregame celebration recognizing their title win...
