Resort To Reopen Under New Ownership PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- A clothing-optional resort in Palm Springs known for a nude bridge that allows nude patrons to cross over Indian Canyon Drive without being seen in the buff will reopen Friday under new ownership. The grand reopening of The Desert Sun Resort is set for 4 p.m. Friday, said owner Elizabeth Young "We bought it out of bankruptcy because we couldn't bear to lose this beautiful place," said Young, who noted she and her husband visited the resort for years when it was known as The Desert Shadows Inn Resort & Villas. "We've been to nude resorts all over the world, and this is by far the best one," she said. She said rooms were quickly filling up with past patrons familiar with the property.
