St. Louis Business Journal - by reported Wednesday a second-quarter profit of $42.2 million, up 40 percent from $30.1 million during the same time last year. Revenue increased 1.2 percent to $556.3 million from $549.9 million a year earlier. "An improved business portfolio and the successful execution of margin expansion initiatives drove our record performance," said John Stroup, president and CEO, in a statement. "The business now reflects much better geographic diversification, an improved mix of connectivity and high-value networking products and more emphasis on attractive vertical markets like industrial automation."
