Researchers suggest that pre-diabetes must be treated aggressively because if the treatment is not provided early it will cause health and financial problems later in life. American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) says pre-diabetes is more dangerous than it is thought. Most people having the pre-condition feel quite healthy when they are young and don't see the necessity of treating it. However, with age it develops to diabetes and worsens quality of life for most of the elderly. According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statistics, 56 million Americans suffer from pre-diabetes. Later, the disease causes major problems to most of the elderly.
