Local Gov employers - agree to further talks with UNISON and Unite

Whilst I was at the (very successful about 70 people) "is there a Witchhunt in UNISON?" meeting last night - the press release came through on my blackberry that UNISON's NJC Committee had agreed not to name any future dates for strike action as the employers had agreed to further talks - this will be reviewed at their next meeting in September. Newly relaunched http://edisred.blogspot.com/ got in with this first and whilst I personally agree that it was wrong not to set a date for the next strike action to keep up the pressure on the LGA, everyone I've spoken to so far doesn't think we should strike again before September anyway, and as long as we do not let the bureaucracy demobilise the campaign then nothing is lost.
