CONCORD, N.H. -- A federal grand jury in New Hampshire has indicted three Massachusetts residents on charges of illegally importing prescription drugs and introducing them into interstate commerce without a prescription. The indictment alleges that the anabolic steroids were acquired from overseas by wire transferring funds to China, Moldova and other foreign countries. The indictment also alleges that once the drugs entered the United States, they were distributed over the Internet through various Web sites and that customers in New Hampshire and elsewhere paid for them.
