By Fayaz Wani Srinagar, July 22: Heavily armed militants attacked two posts of the Indian army in frontiers close to Pakistan on Tuesday, killing a soldier. Police sources said a heavily armed group of militants fired from automatic weapons and hurled grenades towards the Indian border guards posted at the Bilal border outpost in Punj, close to the Pakistani frontier in Kashmir. "The fire was returned by the border guards and in the shoot-out a soldier identified as Bhanwar Singh received critical injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead," sources said. They said that additional soldiers were rushed to the spot and they have launched combing operations to track down the militants responsible for the attack.
