MoU Opens New Chapter for Country

Posted to the web 22 July 2008 Harare A NEW chapter was opened in Zimbabwe's political life yesterday afternoon as the country's three major political parties embraced each other in a show of unity expected to usher in a new dawn for the people of this country. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks a significant moment in our country's history as it represents firm steps in resolving the political turmoil that has rocked this nation for the past eight or so years. This show of unity removes the curse that was upon this nation, which has seen our economy recording its highest level of inflation in history, the exodus of our people to other countries, the contempt our country's name now attracts in certain quarters, among other ills.
