KOTA KINABALU: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly slashing his estranged wife, an Anti Corruption Agency officer, during a struggle inside a car in the east coast Tawau district. The 25-year-old wife sustained slash wounds to her neck and is reported to be in stable condition at the district hospital following the incident that occurred Tuesday night, Tawau district police chief Asst Comm Jaafar Ismail said Thursday. He said the suspect surrendered to police at around 6.30pm on Wednesday after police launched a hunt for the man who abandoned his car after one of its tyres punctured at Jalan Apas here following the incident.
