New practice lights allow more options for Titans

By JIM WYATT and GARY ESTWICK • Staff Writers • July 23, 2008 The Titans will find something new when they report to training camp later this week — lights on one of their three practice fields at Baptist Sports Park. The lights, located on the field closest to the fans' entrance, were installed Monday. They will give the Titans another way to beat the heat in training camp, as well as the option of practicing outdoors at night during the season. The Titans start training camp Friday with the first practice scheduled for 3:30 p.m. In previous training camps the team held some night practices at LP Field. With the new lights the camp schedule has already been adjusted with one practice moved to night. It's expected to be closed to fans, however.
